I had first read the book “Like Water for Chocolate” and loved it. I was so happy when the movie came out. Tita, who is in love but banned from marriage. She loves to cook and throughout the movie shares her cooking skills and recipes.

Meryl Streep plays Julia Child and the movie is the story of her life in cooking and how it intertwines with blogger Julie Powers (played by Amy Adams) as she performs a challenge to cook every recipe in the first Julia Childs cook book.

This is an amazing movie starring Mary Stuart Masterson, Mary-Louise Parker, Kathy Bates and Jessica Tandy. This movie will make you laugh and cry (as well as want to make fried green tomatoes). The story is about an unhappy housewife who befriends an old lady in a nursing home and is enthralled by the tales of the people she used to know.
#1 No Reservations (2007)
Although this movie is more of a ‘chick flick’ than a serious classic, it is still an amazing movie. If you are looking for a movie with a little romance and lots of cooking then this is it. Catherine Zeta- Jones and Arron Eckart play their parts well with great chemistry both are chefs but life becomes complicated when Kate becomes guardian of her young niece. The other factors that puts this movie on top is the sound track – great music and after watching and listening to this movie you will just have to get into the kitchen and create something delicious.
