#10 Fernando De Noronha – Brazil

Fernando De Noronha is a tropical island, 545 km away from the coast of the Brazilian State of Pernambuco.  The island has spectacular beaches surrounded by warm waters, sea tortoises, dolphins, albatrosses and many other species are frequently observed.

#9 Mnemba Island – Tanzania

#7 Pink Sands Beach – Bahamas

Harbour Island in the Bahamas is known for its pink sandy beach, about 3 miles long with perfectly pink sand and calm waters.  The ocean is ideal for swimming – warm throughout the year and generally calm, protected from the rolling waves of the Atlantic by a coral reef.  A close-up of the sand reveals the bright pink and red shells that lend their color to the sand. The shells come from single-celled organisms called foraminifera.  Foraminifera live under reefs and rocks in the waters off Pink Sands Beach. When they die, their shells wash up on the shore and brighten the otherwise light tan sand.

#6 Maroma Beach – Mexico

#5 Lanikai Beach – Hawaii

#4 Whitehaven Beach – Australia

The crystal clear aqua waters and pristine silica sand of Whitehaven stretch over seven kilometres along Whitsunday Island , the largest of the 74 islands in the Whitsundays.  At the northern end of Whitehaven Beach is Hill Inlet, a stunning cove where the tide shifts the sand and water to create a beautiful fusion of colours.  As the tide shifts, the white silica sand and turquoise shades of the inlet blend seamlessly to create a breathtaking view of swirling Whitsunday colours.

#3 Maldives

The Maldives lies in two rows of atolls in the Indian Ocean. There are 1,190 coral islands formed around 26 natural ring-like atolls.  A string of islands take their places among this atoll ring; each island has its own reef encircling the island lagoon.  About 90 islands are developed as tourist resort and the rest are uninhabited or used for agriculture and other livelihood purposes.  Maldives has deep blue seas, turquoise reefs, white sandy beaches and palm trees.

#2 Matira Point Bora Bora – Taihiti

Bora Bora is an island in the Leeward group of the Society Islands of French Polynesia.  In the center of the island are the remnants of an extinct volcano rising to two peaks.  Just 18 miles (29 kilometers) long, this lush little slip of land lies in a protected lagoon edged by white sandy shores.  Matira point is the most spectacular beach.

#1 Anse Source d’Argent – Seychelles

This beach is located on the north coast of stunning La Digue island, the 3^rd largest island of the Seychelles.  The coast line is a series of white and pink soft sand beaches, turquoise lagoons and is bordered by rounded boulders and palm trees.  The Anse Source d’Argent beach is one of the most photographed beaches in the world.  The waters off of the beach are warm, shallow and calm, making this beach relaxing and safe.
